A thicker PVC sheet is generally more rigid, which can be useful where a wall sees more daily wear or has minor surface variation. A thinner sheet may be appropriate for a sound, even wall in a lighter-use setting.
The underlying wall still needs to be suitable for the installation. Loose material, significant damage and major unevenness should be addressed before sheets are fitted. Thickness is one part of the specification, alongside sheet size, compatible trims and the conditions of the room.

A lighter sheet to consider where the substrate is smooth and impact is expected to be low. Wall preparation and a suitable installation remain important.
Offers more rigidity than 1.5 mm while remaining a practical choice for a range of everyday commercial wall applications.
Worth considering when extra rigidity is desirable or the prepared wall has minor imperfections that may show through a thinner sheet.
The most rigid of these four sheets. Consider it for tougher conditions or where additional coverage of minor wall variation is useful.
MAKE THE DECISION
The best thickness for one part of a building may differ from the best choice elsewhere.
Assess the wall before deciding whether additional sheet rigidity would be helpful. Prepare any unsuitable areas properly.
Think about routine use, movement of equipment and places more likely to receive knocks.
Check the available length for your chosen thickness and plan where cuts and joints will fall.
Profiles and finishing components must suit the selected sheet thickness and installation method.
SIZE AND LAYOUT
The middle 2.80 m length is listed for the 2 mm and 2.5 mm sheets, while the 1.5 mm and 3 mm pages list 2.44 m and 3.05 m. The right length depends on wall height, openings and where a join would be acceptable.
